Adjectives Adjectives are used to decribe people, objects, animals or ideas. Normally the adjective goes before the noun, yet sometimes it can go after the word it describes. Adjective before noun - She has a  thick  and  red   book . - I have a  small ,  black , and  fluffy   cat . Adjective after noun - The book is thick and red . - My  cat  is  small ,  black , and  fluffy .
